It also was a first movie role for Crosby's Lisa Bonet, who took a daring part that had some nudity. This one was of Mickey Rourke's last movies before his hiatus to become a professional boxer. He's far better on the screen than in the ring, as his latest film, taking an Oscar for The Wrestler.
Angel Heart is a plot movie: the ones that keep you guessing and on edge as it builds. Though released in 1989, the film holds up today and has achieved cult status. The VHS tape plays well, the video is very good. It is a gently used and pampered former rental that plays great.
