Stated copyright 1972, eighth printing July 1996, and measures a little over 6” x a little over 8-1/2”x 1” THICK with 368 numbered pages including index, plastic spiral binding. Recipe-contributor name is included with each recipe. Charming illustrations by the Fourth Grade Pupils of J E Fritz Elementary School, directed and assisted by Mrs Keller, teacher. No photos. CHICKEN CORN SOUP
1 large chicken
4 qts cold water
½ cup chopped celery
Salt
3 pts corn
2 cooked eggs (chopped)
1 can creamed style crushed white sweet corn
Rivels
Cook chicken slowly until it is tender, adding salt while cooking. Remove chicken and cut up meat. Strain broth. Add celery and 3 pts of corn. Cook until celery is tender then add 1 can crushed corn and rivels stirring while adding rivels. Boil slowly about 5 min. then add meat and chopped eggs.
RIVELS: 1 cup flour, 1 egg, and a little salt. Rub this mixture together with hands until pieces are very small.

[There IS a publishers printing flaw … After page 20 are pages 197 through 212 then 37 onward. Pages 197 through 212 are duplicated/repeated in correct page placement. And pages 21 thru 36 are omitted.] Any shadow is from copier and NOT on item. No mildew or musty smell.
