In 1983 Shirley Edes and Julia Philipson gathered their kitchen copies together and published “Peter Christian’s Recipes,” which has become a local bestseller and is frequently spoken of in terms of “When are they writing another one?” After again gathering and translating the kitchen versions, Julia and Shirley have written “Peter Christian’s Favorites” for their friends and family across New England and beyond. They hope it reflects the fun, the good eating, and the love that have gone into it.
