It can be left on the ground or hung on the wall with a couple of screws. Just add some straw and it's ready to use. The dimensions are 20-1/4" tall X 13-3/4" wide X 17-1/8"deep with perches attached. Made of #1, 1/2" plywood, 5 ply. Perches will be made of select hardwood for longer durability. These boxes have been Pre Sanded in case you want to paint them. I use high quality #1, 1/2" plywood, 5 ply, Not that thin 3/8" #2, 3 ply stuff that other builders use to save money. This is a high quality, durable nest box and should last many years. If you live in a wet climate the box should be painted. The weight is approx. 9 LBS. unboxed. Please note that while this is a fully assembled unit, the perch will be detached for shipment. Made in the USA. You will not find a better built unit at this price.
