There's plenty of room for nesting material and growing babies. The offset entry with inside and outside perch is designed to help reduce egg damage from bird traffic. It has a lid so you can check on the babies, and makes it easier to clean. The inside dimensions are 8" tall X 8" wide X 6-1/2" deep. Made of #1, 1/2" plywood, 5 ply. The entry hole is 2" in diameter and the perch is 7/16" in diameter. I use high quality #1, 1/2" plywood, 5 ply, Not that thin 3/8" #2, 3 ply stuff that other builders use to save money. This is a high quality, durable box and should last many years. The approx. shipping weight is 3.5 LBS. Made in the USA. Please specify inside or outside mount during checkout.
