This ACEO print is from an original watercolor I did titled "Jolly Good Fortune on the High Seas" featuring a piratesque lucky tabby cat perched on a ship's mast.
Most of my prints come with a small story, written at the time the original artwork is created. This is printed on the backs of the cards, along with the title of the piece and date it was created. They are hand signed and hand numbered. This is #7.
The story for this artwork reads: "Ahoy matey! All aboard with this devious but lucky pirate fellow. He's all for worldly travel and adventure as he sways from the ship's mast under her Jolly Roger. As lucky gold coins rain down from the sky he has sword raised certain that this will be a most rewarding voyage."
This open edition ACEO (which stands for Art Cards, Editions & Originals) measures the standard 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" and is laminated. I choose to laminate cards which are prints and don't include any hand enhancing or painting as it makes them far more durable, increasing their longevity, and enriches the colors.
This card was printed with a color laser printer on acid free cover stock. My ACEO cards are in no way mass produced, I print, laminate, and hand cut each one in my studio. The ghosted watermark does not appear on the actual print.
Additional ACEO prints may be added for 25 cents each per card for additional shipping. Please email me if you'd like to be invoiced.
