This ACEO print is from my original watercolor titled "The Blueberry Neko & His Golden Kitten Enjoy a Summer Afternoon" depicting a lucky Maneki Neko blueberry loving cat, with with his Lucky Golden Kitten, enjoying an afternoon amidst the blueberries.
Most of my cards come with a small story, written at the time the original artwork is created. This is printed on the backs of the cards, along with the title of the piece and date it was created. They are hand signed and hand numbered. This is #8 and is an open edition.
The story for this artwork reads: "Like his pal, the Raspberry Neko (available on another card) this Blueberry Neko is delighted by the berries of that particular bush, and like his friend, he has coordinating calico markings - in his case: blueberry, gold, and black. His Lucky Golden Kitten pal is enthusiastically hailing good luck with both paws raised. Blue, like the berries, this cat's color is usually associated with wisdom and learning, and he knows how wise it is to devour blueberries for their healthful benefits."
This ACEO (which stands for Art Cards, Editions & Originals) measures the standard 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" and is laminated. I choose to laminate cards which are prints and don't include any hand enhancing or painting as it makes them far more durable, increasing their longevity, and enriches the colors. The ghosted watermark does not appear on the actual print.
This card was printed with a color laser printer on acid free cover stock.
