This unique vintage primitive Art Pottery jug features drip glazes in both white and brown over a matte finish in shades of reddish brown and brown. There is a strange impressed symbol in one area that looks like the bottom of a horse's hoof and another symbol over it that I can't make out. It is from the estate of an elderly couple.
The jug measures approximately 8 1/4 inches high and 5 3/4 inches in diameter at its widest point. It weighs in at almost 3 1/2 pounds. There is one very tiny approx. 1/8 inch flake on the top rim of the neck and one larger one approx. 1/4 inch which can be seen in the photo. No chips, cracks, or other issues. A wonderful accent for your rustic or southwestern room, and the perfect addition to your primitive Art Pottery collection!
