The Dorset Naga is a cultivar of the Naga Jolokia or Bhut Jolokia, which has been recognized by the Guiness Book of World Records as being the hottest pepper on the planet. With a Scoville heat unit measurement ofaround1 million, it replaces the Red Savinawith nearly double its heat intensity. This rating can be more or less depending on climate. Drier climates with less rainfall will produce hotter peppers. The Dorset Naga came about through genetic selection in Dorest, England. Specimens have been tested at 1.6 million Scoville heat units.
Our seeds come direct from a farm in Sri Lanka that produces these peppers in the ideal climate. They do not grow any other types of peppers that could contaminate the genetics of the plants.
Warning: Direct consumption of these peppers can be dangerous. Even handling the seeds can cause irritation. Wear gloves or your hands will carry the oil all day. Each lot contains 1000 seeds.
