Antique Lithographed Victorian Advertising. Both are printed on paper:
1. "New Easy" lawnmower, print from an advertising folder printed by Milton Bradley, c. 1890. Measures 2-7/8 by 3-1/2 inches; trimmed. Advertising on the back. Lower left corner clipped, lightly yellowed on back. Slightly rippled.
2. Illustration of a proud lawnmower owner. Reverse is blank. Lawnmower is marked on handle and wheel: "Whitman & Barne's M.F.G. Co." Measures 3-1/4 by 4 inches. Lightly creased; back has 1 spot with surface paper peeling.
This item is an original card from a late-nineteenth century scrapbook. The image, printed by color lithography, is a chromolithograph, or "chromo."
