<p>Original 1941 textile trade vintage ad for<b><span style="font-size: 14px;">&nbsp;AMERICAN MACHINE &amp; METALS, INC.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></b>(Tolhurst Centrifugal division). Main office and plant was located at 1501 Tolhurst Street, East Moline, IL.</p><p> Manufacturers of Tolhurst Suprex Extractor.</p><p>Test after test with textile materials of various characteristics as to fibre, stage of conversion and weave have proved that Tolhurst Suprex is the fastest and finest extractor of its type on the market today. Comparison tests made under identical conditions on a cotton textile showed the following results: Tolhurst Suprex required only 4.2 minutes to obtain 40% moisture retention. A standard type extractor required 12.4 minutes to obtain the same result. Hourly production of the Suprex was 1,370 lbs against 730 lbs for the standard type.&nbsp;</p><p>Unbound from a 1941 cotton industry handbook, this unique old one-page advertisement would display beautifully matted and framed.
