The color of the flowers range from a blueish-purple to a medium shade of purple. Each day, they will bloom out and then by late afternoon already have their new blooms ready to open up the next morning. The well established plants are able to further spread out by the production of rhizomes. They strive well in sunny locations, but can also grow in partially sunny areas. Until they are well established, do not plant them in a full sun location, to prevent them from dying due to extreme temperatures.
