This issue is the annual NBA preview. SI covers the upcoming season with over 70 basketball related pages. It includes scouting reports on the teams and divisions, a pictorial and article on the Enforcers (w/full-page photos of Darryl Dawkins & Maurice Lucas), and a special interview with former Knicks star Bill Bradley.
Other articles include: Notre Dame, wearing green for the 1st time since 1963, trampling the USC Trojans / the Patriots beating up on the previously undefeated Colts and Bert Jones / the Yankees Reggie Jackson cashing in on his big World Series performance (w/a full-page photo), and much more.
Overall condition is very good with normal wear (the cover has a couple of creases), all pages and staples are secure.
