Inside the hat is stamped Genuine Velour, Imported Body, Launcelot, Henry Pollak Inc New York. It also lists where the hat was made, but it is too faded to read. It may say Made in Poland.
There is also a Gimbels label in the hat.
According to the internet, Gimbels closed in 1987.
I am assuming this hat is made out of wool.
This hat would not fit a larger sized head. It would be best for a small, and possibly a medium head.
The hat does seem slightly dusty, so it could use a lint brushing or cleaning. The hat does not smell, and I don't see any flea bites or other marks in the wool.
This hat did not photograph well, and the green color is much nicer than it looks in the photos.
