Armetale metal is a unique, non-toxic aluminum-based alloy, making it ideal for cooking and entertaining. ARMETALE products are crafted from a non-toxic aluminum-based alloy. ARMETALE metal has been analyzed by an independent third party laboratory and conforms to guidelines for the safe handling of food and beverages.

• Hot foods cooked and served in Wilton Armetale products stay hot longer.
• Cold foods and drinks served in Wilton Armetale products stay cold longer.

ARMETALE products are also durable and will not rust, break, crack or chip under normal usage. Each ARMETALE product is a solid piece of metal with no coating applied.

Q: Can I clean my Armetale metal products in the automatic dishwasher?
A: No. We do not recommend using the automatic dishwasher because harsh detergents and hard water may harm the metal's surface.

Q: What can you do to repair the finish on my piece when it has been put in the dishwasher?
A: You can try a paste of baking soda and vinegar. Rub the paste into the piece with a soft cloth then wash the piece with mild soap and water. You may have to do this a few times. When finished the piece may look dull so you can polish it with a polish called Nevr-Dull or similar silver polishes. If that doesn't work you can take the piece to a jeweler or trophy shop and have them buff it with a soft cloth buffing wheel.
Q: How can I use my Wilton Armetale?
A: You can cook, bake, broil, grill, chill and serve in almost all of our products. We suggest that you put a thin coat of oil on your piece before doing any this to keep the piece from staining. The only pieces you can not use for cooking are pieces with black paint in the cooking surface of the pieces like the bread trays. Those pieces are only for serving.

Other Policies

Hello and Thank you for visiting my store. I enjoy collecting and sharing items that I find to be lovely, funny, interesting. Taste is subjective, hence the name mostly awesome stuff. I lean towards vintage textiles, pottery, glass, kitchen/dining items. I hope you will find my items worth viewing and add me to your favorite shops list.
If an item is received in damaged condition, buyer needs to keep item intact "as received" and provide photos for the insurance claim. If the item is lost in transit, it is covered under the insurance. Items lost after Delivery Confirmation are not. If desiring a signature confirmation to ensure receipt of item, buyer will need to message that request and add $2.35 to payment.

Vintage items are often damaged by use of microwaves, dishwashers and harsh chemicals. I recommend hand washing be used to protect your vintage items.
