Lon Warneke was a pitcher nicknamed "The Arkansas Hummingbird". During his MLB career, his most significant accomplishments included:

* In 1932, Warneke led the National League in wins with 22 and led the Major Leagues in ERA (2.37)
* Lifetime record of 192 wins - 121 losses, with an ERA of 3.18 to go with 1,140 strikeouts
* Pitched a no-hitter on August 30, 1941
* Pitched in two (2) World Series for the Chicago Cubs, winning 2 games with an ERA of 2.63
