J R Short Milling Company 1959 Wytase Dough Whitener Baking Vintage Ad

Original commercial bakery trade magazine vintage ad for J. R. SHORT MILLING COMPANY in Chicago, IL. Wytase dough whiter for softer, whiter bread. Baking has come a long way. Featured is a French woodcut about the history of bread making. 1959 unique old cooking industry advertisement. There is bleeding from another page on the upper right edge, and a small moisture mark on the bottom left corner as seen in the scan. About six issues of this rare magazine was found in a storage unit, in their original, rolled paper mailing sleeve addressed to Frieds Bakery in Mountaindale, New York. These magazines were folded in half, unopened for 55 years. As such, the bakery ads may have a slight crease or warp down the center, but would still display nicely when matted and framed.
