The perfume house of Corday was established in 1924 by Blanche Arvoy (nee Reneaux) at 15 rue de la Paix, Paris. It was named after Marat's assassin, Charlotte Corday; Arvoy created early perfume concepts and high quality presentations and was awarded the silver medal in 1925 for Jovoy creations.
