This bag is a fabulous dark purple color. The color of this bag would work in all seasons.

The tag does have some wear to it.
The bag has a top zippered closure.
It has lots of pockets. It has two outside pockets, one which zips and one which would be great for a cell phone. The one that would be perfect for a cell phone has a flap and closes with a magnetic snap.
On the other side of the bag, there is a large organizer pocket which has an outside open pocket on it.
The inside of the bag has a zippered pocket against one side and an open pocket against the other side.
The strap is really long on this bag. It measures approximately 49 inches long. It is not adjustable, but in days past we would knot the strap up to make it shorter.
The bag measures approximately 7.75 inches tall, and 8.5 inches wide. This is not a deep bag, it is on the thin side.
