Fenton Covered Candy Box w/Lid

French Opalescent glass, iridized allows the forest of evergreens to project against a frosty background of sparkling snow. The interplay of color and texture is a Fenton hallmark. Also, notice the tiny red cardinal--West Virginia's state bird--as it searches for shelter from the blustery weather. This was a very popular series that was designed by Robin Spindler which lasted for 3 years. This piece, however, was made only for the one year, 1999.
This piece is about about 10 inches tall and about 4-1/4 inches across. I do note that the lid does NOT sit firm on the bottom of the jar...it appears to be a bit small. BUT, that would be the way that these were made. I feel it is necessary to point that out. The original box is still in tact which is always a plus. The artist who decorated this piece and then signed it is C Riggs. Stock number 5380FE.
There are no chips, cracks or repairs, however this piece has been previously owned and possibly displayed. Though I believe very well taken care of..almost factory NEW condition. (Store use: NC-Tub9)
