Fenton Burmese Basket 8-1/2 inch
Made for QVC Aired May, 2009
This items, as the heading indicates, was made for QVC and aired on their Cable Network Channel in May of 2009. Just so there is no confusion, these baskets ARE Fenton, MADE BY Fenton, but was retailed solely through QVC in May of 2009.
We bought up the stock that was not sold that was being stored at Fenton. Because of the markings and the blushing of these baskets, we have decided to list them one at a time. This blushing and marks are caused by the gold that is put into the burmese glass mixture and the re-heating of the glass to bring the blushing out, each piece will look just a little different.
Our sample here that is shown that we are offering to you is actually really about 9-1/4 inches tall and about 5-1/8 inches across. It is signed by the artist as is shown in the picture, Trudy Mendenhall, I think. Also, there is a blush line that circles the entire basket....please review pictures to see details. The stock number on this piece is C5842 1R-- There are no chips, cracks or repairs and it will ship in it's original Fenton packing box. We do note that there is a SMOKE oder in the bubblewrap these came in. IT is from the factory and is NOT a cigarette smoke smell but a wood burning smell. (Picture6B)
