Dept 56 -- Merry Makers ORNAMENT
"HORATIO THE HORNBLOWER" AS IS (FLAWS)
Circa 1993-1996
These cute little monk figures that Department 56 put out for just a short period of time, have been very popular among collectors. This one is HORATIO THE HORN BLOWER and is the ORNAMENT (not the figure). He is about 3-1/2 inches tall, about 2-3/4 inches wide and about 3-1/2 inches deep (front to back). The ornament does have a Clanger inside the ball but it doesn't make much noise like a regular bell would. It is dull and muffled.
There is a spot under the right arm which I am trying to show. It appears to me that is this might be a factory flaw, but not sure. . I think the picture makes it look worse than it really is. There are no chips cracks or repairs that I see. This has been previously owned and displayed. Box and sleeve in tack....box has minor shelf wear. The inside of the styrofoam box is brown on the bottom from the ornament rubbing there.
