Very well researched and written book. First in a sequel of three Texas: Star of Destiny Series. You WILL want to read them all! It is the story of a wagon train trip across the country with a family and their slaves. Much of it is not fair or right but the story is awesome. The stepfather and stepdaughter seem to gang up against the heroine. The heroines best friend is a slave. Both the heroine and her best friend fall in love with the men who are their guides. There is nothing dull about this book. Always full of action and excitement. Really interesting times - not written about that often in Christian fiction - nice change. You will love the reading.
