This in like-new condition plasticized wipe-clean HARDCOVER with lay-flat plastic spiral binding recipe book measures approx 6-1/4”x 8-3.4” with 81 pages, plus Index and additional hints/tips pages and blank or semi-blank pages after each category chapter on which to write recipes. Stated copyright by publisher 1994. Even before the recipe pages begin is a preface by Pastor Ben Buchanan, who grew up in a logging community in Washington state, a song titled O Taste And See, a Dedication and Appreciation page, and a page of What Women’s Ministry Means To Me by the Cookbook Committee names previously mentioned. Cookbook is full of typed-format recipes, EXCEPTIONAL illustrated drawings with Bible quotes on each food category title page of recipes contained, no local advertising filler, and with approx 75 different contributors, you KNOW there is a good variety of MANY good recipes!

SAMPLE RECIPES:

Seafood Pasta Salad
1/2 cup Miracle Whip salad dressing
1/2 cup Italian dressing
2 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
2 cup corkscrew noodles, cooked and drained
1-1/2 cup chopped crabmeat, imitation is delicious
1 cup broccoli flowerets, partially cooked
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 cup chopped tomato
1/2 cup green onion sices
Combine dressings and cheese, mix well. Add remaining ingredients, mix lightly. Chill.
Prep time: 15 minutes, plus chilling.

Mock Hog Maw
10-12 potatoes, peeled and diced
1-2 carrots, finely diced
1 medium onion, finely diced
1/4 head cabbage, chopped
2 Tbsp dried parsley flakes
1 lb fresh ground sausage
Mix all ingredients together by hand until well blended. Place in casserole or 13x9x2-inch pan. Add 1/2 cup water. Cover with foil. Bake at 350-degrees approximately 1-1/2 hours.

Pennsylvania Dutch Apple Cake
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup soft shortening
2 eggs
2 tsp orange rind, grated
2 cup flour, sifted
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
1/2 tsp salt
1-1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup Carnation evaporated milk, undiluted
2 Tbsp sugar
2 cup apples, finely chopped
1-1/2 tsp baking powder
Mix sugars, shortening, eggs and orange rind until smooth and creamy. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt and cinnamon. Add to sugar mixture. Alternate Carnation milk with dry ingredients. Stir in apples. Pour into a 8x12-inch buttered pan and spread evenly over bottom of pan. Sprinkle pecans and 2 tablespoons sugar over top. Bake 45 minutes in a 350-degree oven.

(Insurance is automatically included for up to $50 for Priority shipments.) If item is insured, but was received damaged, it is imperative to keep ALL SHIPPING MATERIALS should you need to make an insurance claim. All parcels include a tracking number, and you will be emailed that number upon shipment, so we both can monitor its journey to you. Please notify me if your item is not received.

    These books/items are not new unless specified new … they are retro or vintage, and some may come with wear and/or smells. I go to extremes, perhaps, detailing each item attributes and flaws, if any. And I especially include SMOKE and PET clauses in all descriptions, so please don't email me asking if it smells of smoke because you may be able to smell better than I do.
