Stuffed Minute Steaks
1 medium onion
1 stalk celery
4 slices bread
1/4 c butter or margarine
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 Tbsp garlic salt
12 oz pkg minute steaks
10-1/2 oz can consomme
2 Tbsp flour
1/4 c water
Chop onion and celery fine. Remove crust from bread and break into small pieces. Heat butter or margarine in a large skillet. Toss in onion, celery, bread crumbs, salt and pepper and garlic salt. Cook until bread is lightly browned. Transfer to a bowl.
In this skillet put 3 unthawed steaks. Pile 3 Tbsp bread mixture on each steak and cover with another unthawed steak. Pour in consomme; cover tightly and cook 5 minutes over medium heat. Turn steaks with a broad spatula and cook an additional 5 minutes. Remove to hot serving plate.
To Make Gravy: Mix flour and water to a smooth paste. Pour into liquid remaining in skillet; stir until slightly thick.
Note: This makes enough stuffing for 3 patties. These steaks are packaged in 12 oz packages containing 6 steaks or 8 oz packages containing 4 steaks, so adjust the amount of stuffing according to the number of steaks needed in your family. The consomme, flour and water measurements remain the same.

Condition: Good/Acceptable, and I checked EVERY page to enter all the names! (I include ALL names in ALL fundraiser-type cookbooks because I know how frustrating it is to hope and wonder if specific contributors are included in a book, only to find out they’re not, upon receipt.) Pages are clean, tight to plastic-comb spiral binding, no tears, no chips, no dog-ears, no writing. Two defective plastic spirals, due to weight of other books pushing against them ... the last 2 from bottom are cracked/broken on top area where the rounded parts of spirals adhere to ... however, all pages and both covers are, thankfully, bound and intact, with no missing pages. Previous owner pasted a small piece of paper to mark the Glazed Ham Patties, a favorite recipe on page10 (see recipe for it above). Some wear to corners, cover edges, and bottom spine area. A couple spots/sticker-remains on plasticized covers, but not on church photo ... I’ve not attempted to gently use Goo-Gone to remove; will defer to new owner to try. Please don’t let these flaws deter you from seizing this scarce book for posterity, the descendants, future generations of those who contributed the recipes! Books are NOT from smoke-free or pet-free environment. Email with questions or requests. Images are part of the description; please SUPERSIZE them for clarity.

1-pound securely packed in plastic and BOX to protect the spiral binding (not a flimsy clasped or bubble envelope!) Media/Bookrate mailing. BUYER pays ACTUAL mailing cost - NO HANDLING FEE ... SELLER pays USPS Delivery Confirmation and PayPal fees.

Seize this scarce book for posterity, the descendants, future generations of those who contributed the recipes ... this legacy may be all there is!
