They can be left on the ground or hung on the wall with a couple of screws. Just add some straw and they're ready to use. The dimensions are 9-1/2" tall X 26-7/8" wide X 9" deep . Made of #1, 1/2" plywood, 5 ply. I use high quality #1, 1/2" plywood, 5 ply, Not that thin 3/8" #2, 3 ply stuff that other builders use to save money. This is a high quality, durable nest box and should last many years. These boxes have been Pre Sanded in case you want to paint them. If you live in a wet climate the box should be painted.
