Virginia Metalcrafters Poinsettia Brass Leaf Tray 1948 3-44 Signed Made in the USA

Vintage sand cast solid brass by Virginia Metalcrafters of Waynesboro, Virginia

6 1/4" long x 4 3/4" wide

Used condition with a few small areas of verdigris visible upon close inspection.

This was carved by Oskar J.W. Hansen and had his initials on the front edge just where one's thumb rests when handling the piece.  The copyright symbol remains but the initials have rubbed almost entirely away.

This was received as a wedding gift in 1951 and has never been polished so it retains much of the original laquer finish.

Virginia Metalcrafter's wonderful vintage brass leaves are highly collectible.  Sadly, Virginia Metalcrafters has closed.
