Mickey Rourke - Helena Bonham Carter in a Liliana Cavani film - music by Vangelis

The same year Mickey Rourke was Satan's slave he also was a child of God: That role was Francesco, of the same movie. He plays St. Francis of Assisi in a movie known for its beautiful cinematography and intensity. St. Francis was born in the 13th century, the son of a wealthy merchant and he lived a decadent life until he had a religious awakening. Critics praised Rourke for his skills portraying the conversion and all-consuming quest for spiritual purity.

Overall, Cavani's film received fine reviews though it is not entirely true to historical knowledge. But, that's why they call it show biz. The VHS is a former rental, the video is fair to good. It plays but there are a few spots where the video looks rough. It plays all the way through with no problem, audio is great. The VHS comes in it original slip cover that has shelf wear. We are happy to combine shipping for multiple items. Shipping is $3 in the U.S. International? Of course! To Canada $4 and Europe is $6.
