Antique Frontier Store Good for 50 Cents Trade Token. This is a brass eight sided coin, about 1.25 inches in diameter. On front side reads as follows "Good for 50 cents in merchandise", and on the reverse side reads "Frontier Store ...general merchandise..Pattonsburg, Mo". Nice old trade stimulator given out instead of change when items were purchased in the store. It was only good for merchandise in that particular store. This is an authentic coin / token, from many years ago, dates from the late 1800's to the early 1900s. The coin is made from a thin brass like material . It is in very good or better condition, showing some aging, surface scratches, and age darkening. Lettering is still very sharp and clear, not showing much in the way of daily usage.
