Elliot Gould (The Silent Partner) is the booking agent, Clive Revill is the trainer, Robert Mitchum (The Winds of War) is the sports columnist and Harry Guardino is the Mafia big-shot whose champ they set out to defeat. But they couldn't do it without the knockout charm of Matilda - the most lovable kangaroo to ever hit the ropes!
Before Matilda can face off with the champ, though, they've got to elude the mob's hitmen, con the fight commissioner (Roy Clark) into giving Matilda a boxing license, and convince the beautiful ASPCA supporter that Matilda is the best-kept kangaroo in town. Not to worry - in this warm-hearted comedy, everyone comes out like a champ! "
