Offered today from my personal collection of ancient coins is a rare Byzantine coin from about 1500 years ago! You can hold a small piece of history in your hands for the very reasonable price of just $7.00 plus shipping! The description of coin follows with a brief history behind this piece if known. Otherwise it will be sold as an "Unattributed coin".
This coin was in a batch of uncleaned coins purchased as a large lot and was cleaned in distilled water for about two months, but could be cleaned further if you wish & more details will become visible.
This coin is being offered as "Unattributed" as I am not sure of the identity of the single bust on obverse. It probably is Justin II, and you can make out his head & chest, and he is holding a scepter in his right hand. The reverse shows a large K with what looks like a cross at bottom & ANNO on left. Coin is bronze and weight is 5.23 grams. This coin could use a lot more cleaning & more details would become visible.
