A modern printmaking process in which individual prints are produced on a special large-format printer in extremely high resolution, to give as exact as possible a reproduction of the precise colors and strokes of the original work. The giclée process offers the highest-quality reproduction available. Giclées may be printed on paper or on canvas. They are rarely produced in editions larger than a few hundred, with each one printed individually.

Best know for his vibrant depictions of seascapes and coastlines under sunset and glowing moons, Maurice Meyer has impressed art collectors and enthusiasts for decades. Born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1936, Meyer studied at the Memphis Art Academy. It was during his explorations and his formal training that he recognized his love for the work of the seventeenth-century painter, Rembrandt. Embracing the traditional realism of the Dutch Golden Age, Meyer has developed a style using highlights and dark, complimentary hues that earned him the moniker, ¿Rembrandt of seascapes.

Meyer's artwork is breathtaking in both its scope and its details; particularly inspiring are the images he creates of beaches, waves, and dunes; his talent for translating this natural beauty to canvas is what has earned him worldwide renown. His creations generally represent three beautiful daily periods: the moon at night, the sun shining in the morning and the afternoon, when he uses a cooler color palette, and sunset when warmer colors show on his paintings. By portraying both direct and indirect light in his work, Meyer creates paintings with a natural luminescence and liveliness unmatched by other artists. Meyer¿s work has been collected by people such as Bob Hope, former President Richard Nixon, the Governor of Guam, and TransGlobal Insurance Co., in addition to clients around the work who commission his work to this day.
