Offered today from my personal collection of Japanese WWII photography is a lot of (2) rare photo post card photos taken from a photo album purchased from a late Japanese officer`s estate. These are very rare & hard to come by, especially in this condition. Usually I would be selling these individually, but have decided to offer them as a lot since both have same theme. Yes, that is right, two historic WWII era photo post cards for the very reasonable price of just one! Images are very sharp and in very good condition for age! The first photo post card today is a fantastic shot of Japanese cavalry troops in Japan practicing cavalry tactics on road going through a small village. A man can be seen on left side taking a photo of the troops as they pass by. Troops look to be fully armed & equipped too! A great action WWII shot for your collection! This post card photo does not have any post card printing on back, but is same size & thickness as a post card so I am assuming this was meant to be a post card.
The second photo post card is a neat shot of cavalry troops practicing river crossings with their mounts. Officers can be seen in the rear observing their troops! Many of the men are only wearing loincloths too. I believe these troops were being trained for deployment to China War theater & these were most likely from the late 1930`s just before the US got involved. This photo post card also has no postal info printed on the reverse but I believe it to be made for mailing! This one has more handling wear than first card as can be seen in photo.
