This listing is for a crystal Provincial / Whirlpool footed creamer by Heisey in excellent condition. It looks to have been more a displayed item rather than used daily, no shelf wear on the bottom.
Interesting information from the book “Fifty Years of Collectible Glass 1920 – 1970". Page 19.
Many items were made by Imperial Glass Corporation after they purchased the Heisey molds, still using the Diamond H during the 1960’s. Any items occurring in colors other than crystal and zircon were made by Imperial. Imperial also made an ice lip jug which was never part of Heisey’s production. In the Imperial pieces, the round Whirlpools are often hexagonal in shape. Heisey’s were always round. Imperial colors include crystal, amber, heather, verde, azalea and a few items in red, nut-brown ultra blue and sunshine yellow.
Whirlpool was called Provincial in later years by the Heisey Company. Most pieces are marked with the Diamond H, but some are never marked.
