This is a lovely compote known as a challice. This pattern was made by Northwood in 1906. The base has lovely bubble-like dots and the stem is made up of 3 "twigs" that are open in between. The overlapping leaves are highlighted with beautiful blue opalescence. This is a stunning piece and I am sure you would love it!

As with any 100+ year old piece, bubbles and straw marks can be found, but none that detract from the display or value of the piece are present.

The challice is in excellent condition with no damage. I inspect my items visually and I feel them with my fingers to check for chips or other damage.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or requests to see additional photos.

Thank you for viewing my posting and have a nice day!

I have been a dealer of antique and collectable glass for over 10 years locally at antique malls and online. I am experienced and identify my items with care. I will describe them to the best of my ability with condition noted. I have never had a buyer complaint. Locally I've had the same customers for years and sell special pieces to other dealers.
