We are selling a copy of "The Want to Know Book," by Alfred O. Shedd. This was published by Whitman Pub. Co., copyright 1929, and I think it's a first edition of this title. It has W-662 on the front. The cover says that it's 208 pages of things you want to know, like what makes airplanes fly, who invented safety pins, why do some animals sleep all winter, etc. Cover has some damage along the side, part at the bottom is missing, and so is the top corner. Cover is loose along the spine but still attached. Back cover has a small tear, otherwise good, and it is a continuation of the front picture, with a glamorous looking mother watching as daddy reads the book!! The first few pages have chips missing in the lower area, probably due to the problem with the cover. Remaining pages are in fair shape, they have yellowed but are not brittle. Front cover is slightly loose, should be handled with care. Spine is good, all pages still attached. Book will weigh about 8 oz. when packaged. Postage is included for US buyers (media rate). Buyers outside of the US should contact us for amount of additional postage needed to your country. This amount would be paid by buyers. Buyers outside of the US should be prepared to pay with Paypal. Payment is expected within 10 days.
