This is a nicely glazed table lighter made in Japan call "Amico". The pottery is red in color with black, and gold, and tan trimming. The lighter fits inside and can be removed to place fluid, and flint. They have been used at one time with the wicks having been burned. They seem to have been used very little because of the condition. They seem to work just fine when the end is pushed down. I have not tested them by adding the flint and fluid, but I think they will. The glaze is outstanding, and they would make a nice addition to the home or office sitting. You will note that one of the wheels has a line through it. This is where the artist had a slip with the paint brush, not a scratch.
Backstamp information: They are dated 1964.
Condition: No damage. No cracks, chips, discoloration, scratches, or repairs.

I always use a new or good box plus plenty of bubble wrap, peanuts, and 2" packing tape. In my nearly 7 years of shipping I have not had a broken piece yet. But, Most of the handling depends on the postal carrier. I place fragile labels on the box to notify the carrier of the contents.
The insurance charge for this item is $ 1.70 and not included in the stated shipping quote.
