This ACEO print is from my original watercolor titled "A Fortunate Marbled Tabby Catnip Afternoon" and this Lucky Marbled Tabby feels extremely fortunate to have found this well propagated catnip patch.
Most of my prints come with a small story, written at the time the original artwork is created. This is printed on the backs of the cards, along with the title of the piece and date it was created. They are hand signed and hand numbered - this one is #5.
The story for this artwork reads: "Its time for a nice relaxing afternoon for this Lucky Marbled Maneki Neko. He’s comfortably positioned on his gold cushion, with paw raised to good fortune while happily enjoying the intoxicating aroma of his favorite catnip patch."
This open edition ACEO (which stands for Art Cards, Editions & Originals) measures the standard 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" and is laminated. I choose to laminate cards which are prints and don't include any hand enhancing or painting as it makes them far more durable, increasing their longevity, and enriches the colors.
This card was printed with a color laser printer on acid free cover stock. The ghosted copyright mark does not appear on the actual print.
