This listing is for an off white / ivory serving bowl in excellent condition. It has light utensil marks. This bowl was from 1951. Some were marked with the date but this one is not. (The picture shows white but the bowl is more ivory or an off white color) The glass is thick and heavy and is similar to the navy watch mugs. Both have the same logo.
During World War II these types of items were developed by Corning Glass Works for Army Mess Hall and Ship Galley use as they were extremely durable and had less chance of breakage. Not to mention they make great hand warmers while eating.
Approx: 9 ¾ across X 2 inches high.
Marked: Made in USA Corning TM REG with Horn blower Logo.
The bowl is clean without stains / discoloration and ready to use. No cracks, chips, flea bites, stains, crazing.
