This is a 1959 Hardcover 2 volume set of "The United States a Modern History" by Michael Kraus and Foster Rhea Dulles. Both books include a detailed history of the United States from the New World where England discovers a new land to the close of the 1950's. Also included are several Maps located throughout both books. These books are jam-packed with historical information. The First Volume - "The United States to 1865" is in Fine and Great condition. The binding is tight and there is virtually no wear to the outer cover and binding. The inner pages are all clean and unmarked, however the previous owners name is printed on the inner front cover. The Dustjacket is in Good to Fair condition. There is some wear and tearing. The Second Volume - "The United States Since 1865" is also in Fine and Great Condition. Again, the binding is Tight and there is virtually no wear to the outer cover and binding. The inner pages are clean and unmarked. The dustjacket is also in Good condition with some minor wear. Both books come encased in the original Slipcase.
