This beautiful vintage plate was part of a well-loved collection of travel souvenirs. I believe it dates from the 1960s. It depicts a map of Canada and says "Floral Emblems of Canada" Above the map are maple leaves and encircling the map are the flowers of each province. It includes the White Lily Quebec, Purple Violet New Brunswick, Lady's Slipper Prine Edward Island, Trailing Arbutus Nova Scotia, Pitcher Plant Newfoundland, Dogwood British Columbia, Wild Rose Alberta, Prairie Lily Saskatchewan, Prairie Crocus Manitoba, and Trillium Ontario.
The plate measures 7 3/16 inches in diameter. The design is in full color on a white background with a high glaze. The rim of the plate is pierced and painted in purple and gold gilt. There is a cord for hanging in the back. There are no chips, cracks or other issues, and the colors are vibrant and unfaded. I would consider this plate to be in mint condition.
