This lovely majolica tea set is what I believe is called Gaudy Welsh. It consists of a stacking tea cup, teapot, and lid. It features a wonderful handpainted floral design in dark blue, several shades of green, red, and white, all on a creamy background.
The teapot is stamped B27 on the bottom and the cup's number looks to be B01. The set measures approximately 5 1/2 inches high when stacked, and 6 inches wide including handles and spout. The pot and cup each hold approximately 8 ounces. There is a tiny 1/16 inch shallow flake on the inside rim of the cup by the handle which cannot be seen from the outside and will not interfere with drinking. No chips, cracks, or other issues. The colors are vivid and unfaded and there is a nice high glaze. I would consider this beautiful set to be in near-mint to mint condition.
