This unique vintage Art Pottery covered dish is salt glazed redware. It features a leaf design in brown with runs of blue on a grayish tan background. The lid has an applied curled handle. On the bottom there is an impressed mark of a small H, large K in the middle, and then what looks like a small D or A.
The bowl measures just shy of 6 inches in diameter and about 5 3/8 inches high. There is some light crazing on the inside to be expected in a piece of this age. I cannot see any crazing on the outside. There is one very tiny glaze flake approximately 1/8 inch on the inside rim and one approximately 1/16 inch on the handle. No chips, cracks, or other issues. I would consider this lovely piece to be in near-mint to mint condition. The photo does not it justice. With an eye-catching design, the perfect powder jar, candy or trinket dish, or a lovely addition to your redware or Art Pottery collection.
