This listing is for a hardcover book, entitled The Marijuana Question. The book jacket also says: And science's search for an answer. This book was written by Helen C. Jones and Paul W. Lovinger. The foreword of the book was written by the Surgeon General, C. Everett Koop. The copyright date is 1985. The book says it is the first edition. The book is hardcover, and has 537 pages, so it is a good sized book. The original price listed on the book flap is 24.95. That was a lot for a book in 1985. Please note this is an ex-library book. It is stamped with the library name is several places, and with: void to indicate it is no longer part of the library. There is a card pocket still attached to the front page of the book. The book itself is in good condition, and the book does not look like it has been read, or opened much. However, there is light dirt all along the outside edges of the pages. I wouldn't ordinarily list an ex-library book, but thought that the subject matter of this book might be unique enough that someone would be interested, despite it being an ex-library book. Quickly flipping through the book, it looks to be very informative and well written. The flap says that: "It is the story of an enigmatic drug and a quest for knowledge of the drug. Here are two of the quotes from the back cover of the book. The Marijuana Question is the most comprehensive and best documented book I have ever seen on the subject and does print all of the meaningful studies done on this critical problem in our society today. I would recommend it strongly to anyone who wishes to know more about marijuana and its physiological and psychological effects. The Marijuana Question combines depth of information with delightful prose and a clear format. The blend of scientific information and quotes from pot smokers make this an especially rich and human reference, the best I have ever seen."

However, please note that this book is 20 years old, so the information contained within may be outdated, although it would still make for interesting reading, if one were interested in this subject matter, I suspect.
