This listing is for a gorgeous vintage figurine. This piece is truly exceptional, in my opinion. It might be of a hobo or possibly a circus worker. The man looks too well dressed to be a hobo, but there is a pack next to him. The pack looks like a cloth bag, which is tied at the top. He is holding a bouquet of balloons. He is wearing a hat, a vest, a long coat, and there is an ascot tie around his neck. The detail is beautiful on this piece. It is very carefully painted, and looks like it is hand painted. There is an extra dark paint mark on the hat, not sure if that is intentional or not. The face is very expressive, and well done. The eyes are blue and are amazing. They are painted to look like real eyes. The colors are very nice on this figurine. They are classy, and are on the muted side, rather than being bright and garish in color. The figure is on the heavier side in weight. It has no marking on it at all. It is an older piece, but how old, I don?t know. There are some light lines or cracks in the glaze that are probably due to the age of the piece. However, the lines do not ruin the beauty of the piece in my opinion. There are some in the balloons, and a few on the face, as well as on the slacks. There are probably some in other areas, too. They are not terribly noticeable, in my opinion. There are no chips in the figurine. This figurine is not made of ceramic or china. The bottom, which is not painted, is a white color, and looks like some kind of white clay. I will post a photo of the bottom. The figurine measures approximately seven and a half inches tall, and approximately five inches wide. This figurine looks unique, and unusual. This would be a nice piece for a collector. Evidently this piece is a copy of a well known companys piece called, The Balloon Man. This piece might be good for someone who likes the style, but cant afford the price of that one, or perhaps as a curiosity, as it is clearly made to be a copy of that piece. I actually like the face better on this piece, as well as the ascot tie. I love the polka dots on it.
