The subject matter of this book has nothing to do with Witches, Witchcraft, or Wicca. Evidently, this is the autobiography of Maurice Sachs, a well-known French literary figure. The back of the book says among other things, that, ‘Maurice Sachs was among the most unlikable men of his time….He was an extraordinary liar with dazzling flashes of perception.’ ‘ A strange and disturbing book, this disconcertingly frank autobiography is not for the strait-laced or prudish. A homosexual and an alcoholic, Maurice Sachs carved out a career of ruin in France and the United States between two World Wars.’ ‘Lurid and shocking in the extreme…’ ‘ Whatever he did ended in scandal….’
This book certainly looks to be an interesting read. This book is in good condition. The book does not look like it was ever read, or even opened much. However, there is wear to the surface of the book cover. The book cover has some light scratching on it. The corners are slightly bumped, and there is some wear and minor creasing along the top and bottom book edges.
