The inside of the book flap says: ‘This book elucidates the concept of virginity from the anatomical, moral, and sexual points of view. This exhaustive study explains the wide range of forms of virginity (from the nun to the demivierge), from matriarchal times to our own day.’
This book is not light reading. This is a very intellectual book, for the serious scholar, in my opinion.

The book has a section of black and white photographs.
This book does not look like it was opened much. This book is in good condition, for its age, however it does have some signs of age.
The book does have some pencil marks on the inside front endpaper page, which were erased, but can still be lightly seen.
The inside front book flap is clipped at the top, presumably to remove the original price.
There is discoloration inside the front and back endpapers of the book.

There is also some light staining on the front and back of the actual book itself, underneath the dust jacket.
The book has a plastic covering over its dust jacket, for some reason. This is not an ex-library book, however.
There are a few small rips in the dust jacket that can be seen through the plastic covering.
