Mrs. Charnleigh in New York Weekly, Antique Lithographed Victorian Advertising Trade Card. Depicts a stylish girl reading a notice on a wall: "Young Mrs. Charnleigh commences in Number Eleven of the New York Weekly. "Young Mrs. Charnleigh" was published in 1883, written by Thomas W. Hanshew. Card is slightly wavy; back is lightly soiled, with glue stains. Reverse is blank except for a pencilled note. Measures 2-7/8 by 4 inches.

This item is an original card from a late-nineteenth century scrapbook. The image, printed by color lithography, is a chromolithograph, or "chromo."
