1. Rectangular artist's palette with gobs of oil and a rustic scene. On the back: advertising for "A. Asquith, South Hadley Falls, Mass., Dealer in Fancy Goods, Millinery and Fashionable Drerssmaking." Measures 4-3/4 by 3 inches. Card has some surface peeling and thinning on the back near the left bottom edge. Some yellowing from glue stains on the back.
Card advertising the same. Trimmed to the palette shape, a woman with a fan peers out of her window. Measures 4 by 2-1/2 inches.
This item is an original card from a late-nineteenth century scrapbook. The image, printed by color lithography, is a chromolithograph, or "chromo."
