The Scania 164 was a benchmark for heavy road transport for the second half of 1990 and the first half of 2000. It was in fact the spearhead of the "series 4" and achieved significant commercial success in various countries around the world. The 16-liter engine ensured power, reliability and minimized running costs. The 164L “TopClass” version was characterized by the highest level of cab comfort, both in running conditions and during the rest period. The design of the vehicle also enhanced active and passive safety. Last but not least, the aerodynamic restyling allowed further optimization of fuel consumption even at high speeds. SERIES 4 has changed the well-known external appearance of the SCANIA cab, from a square and linear shape into a new rounded and curvilinear shape. The new cabin design has also cut the grille in two horizontally, making the lower part fold outwards in the shape of a step that can be used to better reach the front glass during cleaning or can be used as bench during waiting stops. This is a very big kit. This company does not seal their kits. They just tape the box shut. Kit parts are in sealed bags along with instructions.
